The first time I set foot in Africa, something in me shifted. Each historical site felt like a page from a story I had been searching for my entire life. As a Black American woman, my family tree disappears into silence before my great-grandfather, leaving only fragments and unanswered questions about who we once were.
From that moment, Ghana began to call me back.
When I returned, it was with intention to give, to learn, and to immerse myself in the rhythm of daily life. I spent time with children whose laughter brightened every space, shared meals that became cherished memories, and listened to stories that wrapped themselves around my heart.
That journey opened a desire to explore all the places where the African spirit has taken root across the world.
My experience of joy, travel, cultural richness, and the fulfillment of giving back is what gave birth to Journey With Purpose.
